the art of serving a craft beer

To fully enjoy the aromas and flavors of craft beer, it is essential to serve it correctly. Here we explain the steps to follow to appreciate all the facets of the beer styles available in our store.

temperature

1

It’s important to have cooled the beer to the recommended temperature; an “ice-cold” craft beer retains its aromas and prevents us from appreciating many of its organoleptic qualities, as well as partially numbing our taste buds.

the glass

2

The glass plays a crucial role when tasting a craft beer, as through the glass, we appreciate its color, foam, carbonation, and turbidity; furthermore, the shape of the glass also influences the perception of the beer’s aromas and flavors.

the tilt

3

The bottle is opened in a vertical position, the glass is tilted at a 45º angle, breaking the beer to release its aromas and gas.

the pouring

4

When the glass is filled about 3/4 full, straighten the glass and continue pouring the beer slowly from slightly higher to create a dense foam.
